In lower grades this issue is typically available, and collectors putting together About Uncirculated sets of the Indian Half Eagle series should have no problem acquiring an example. However, the issue is extremely rare in grades MS-64 or higher and is seldom offered at auction in this state of preservation.
The finest known example graded PCGS MS-65+ sold for $180,000 at auction in 2021.
